With broken words I tried to say..

Day 2, 10 Sept 2017

Guess who woke up late ? Haha I swear the sleep was good and the bed was cozy af. It was soo hard to get out of bed & I realise being lazy overseas is something I am becoming fond of to do. We decided to have lunch @ Woojung's Bibimbap. The place where my sis recommended me to go. Sadly there were no more seafood noodles so I got the fishcake noodle soup instead. The soup was tasty and thin at the same time, unlike the ones in Singapore where they are very concentrated and thick. It feels more healthy eating in korea. But i can't really compare which tastes nicer cos I hardly eat korean food at all. Anyways after walking around the streets around where we ate, the Bujeon mall/Seomyeon mall, we headed to gamcheon cos it was running late. But before that we had to drop by Artbox. Why? Cos the things were really beautiful and cute. It was kind of therapeutic just to walk through the shop and purchase cute socks & cards yknow hahah. They are not as pricey too.

It was after lunch where we parted from kyeonghwan. Last time gonna see in him years. What a great pal and the parting was indeed reluctant but oh wells life moves on & we have been thru this before :) Take care kyeong, hopefully can see you rly soon? You will be missed and really all the best in UK with studies and all. May you find a lovely plus one soon enough!

Okay the next stop was Gamcheon cultural village. Story time: Before we found our way here.. We got a bit lost when we exited the subway. When we appeared lost, a kind granny spotted me looking clueless with my handy notebook (of Korean words which I tried to study prior to this trip) and she slowed her steps and glanced in our direction. She then offered to help us and walked us all the way to the bus stop where we had to board a bus to go up the village. So kind of her even tho she could only speak korean & I could understand like 2% of what she was saying hahah. This kind act made today special, always love to receive kind gestures from people overseas :) It's literally one of the best feeling to receive help from a complete stranger. Another reminder that the world is filled with love that we fail to see each day. Things like these make pleasant trip memories too. :) Blessed. Up at gamcheon CV, despite the high steps and steep terrains, the walk was actually quite lovely.. why? Cos the view was beautiful heheh & also the weather was perfect. We chilled at the cafe where we saw the overview of the houses in the village.

The colours of the houses were very pastel and appealing. I bought a couple of postcards and had a strawberry smoothie up there :) The people were very friendly and hospitable too. Just outside the cafe, there was a claw machine which had aolan vulpix and pikachu in a vulpix onesie. Hahaha we spent like $30 total on the claw machine but sadly we took home NOTHING Ahahah fml. But it was fun while it lasted.

Our next spot was to head to Little prince statue for phototaking and hahaha i saw beautiful girls donned in hanbok, Sorry I am a simple man. Anyways, the photog spots here were quite disappointing cos throughout the whole trip to this village I couldn't really get good angles nor good shots overall.

We walked back to the bus stop and shopped a lil before heading to napodong and carry on as per plan. We made our way to biff square first. They sold many street food & store vendors greeted us with smiles, just polite and thankful. AND I really love the chicken stick that I ate. The dumplings.. hmm not so much. Our initial plan was to walk through gukje food street & also gwangbokdong to shop but guess what hahaha. We ended up spending 2 hours at TopTen, a uniqlo-topman kind of clothing, just outside biff sq. Hahah, I bought $60 worth of clothes but felt it was a steal with such good quality. Love the new berms colours hahaha. The last time I shopped was since CNY? Hahaha

Our intended last stop was the Jalgachi fish market. On the way there, we stopped by a few pet stores which had really cute puppies inside. They were so adorable that I honestly wanted to take one home so badly. Haish.

Anyways, the market was more or less closed already & also the fishes & sea creatures I have seen them before.. hahahaha so not so enticing for me in all honesty. But what was disappointing was that the stores are the same & so damn commercialised. The raw food were ridiculously expensive (maybe it was just me). In addition, I felt that it was somewhat cruel to determine the fate of the fish in the tank. Whichever we choose would be whichever in our bowls. Maybe it was just the guilt of spending too much money earlier that hindered me from spending much on dinner. Hahaha in the end, we actually had dinner at a convenience store. I ate cheese ramen & a separate chicken karaage. Okay so for our last stop, we walked around seomyeon mall. I swear it was quite hard to navigate cos of the many many exits per station. Man hahaah climbing up and down stairs just to get across the road. Sighs RIP legs. Sadly when we headed back to seomyeon, most of the shops were already closed or closing. Btw, there were several CCTV-maintained shops that only had claw machines in it. We "wasted" time at the claw machine in seomyeon, again. Teng & nathan are pretty much addicted & that's really crazy. I would say our last night in Busan was pretty awesome. We stayed up really late to watch tv and eat chicken. Hahaha okay so the story begins..

Since kyeong left us already, we were left being unable to articulate korean. But our chicken addiction was real hahaha. So we ordered chicken by asking a favour from the local down at the convenience store hahah. Finally my minimal korean has paid off. With broken words I tried to make him understand what I was blabbering about. I was holding a pen and a script. (Mind you.. I wasn't even reciting a cheesy poem to a girl haha. Yet i was nervous hahah) He was very helpful & surprisingly he understood our intention and favour. He was the one that called for us and make the order. Kyochon chicken wasn't available after 2am but the chicken that he recommended was really tasty too. But the chicken didn't disappoint. Hmm the kind acts of people in Busan has made me look at Koreans in a different light. Maybe they are okay afterall? Really love the hospitality showed by most of the koreans so far here in Busan. Loving this trip so far. :) & we turned in at 4am HAHA. I really can't wait for even more pleasant things to unfold for us. My heart (and stomach) is full.
